UQueue

When COVID first hit, the way we deliver course content at the universities changed rapidly.

Previously, Harry had developed software that students could use in classrooms to queue for help with a teacher without having to keep their hand up for half an hour. This software prioritised students who hadn't yet asked many questions, and students who were actually scheduled onto the running class in an effort to remain equitable.

During COVID, this software was extended to allow for students at home to remotely schedule meetings with teachers so they could still get course help, even in isolation.

The software has grown and is now maintained by UQ, where it is used for most of the computer science courses.
